Road Salt: If left on the vehicle, salt accelerates rust and degradation of exposed metals and lower panel paintwork.
Heavy Grime: Vehicles get dirtier faster. Washing becomes more difficult but is more critical.
Action: We focus on thorough pre-washing to remove thick sludge without scratching, and ensuring protection layers are topped up before the worst weather hits.

Spring Reset

As the weather warms, the legacy of winter remains on the vehicle, soon joined by new environmental factors.

Winter Fallout: Spring is the ideal time for chemical decontamination to remove the bonded iron and tar accumulated over winter.
Pollen & Sap: As vegetation blooms, fine sticky pollen and tree sap can quickly coat horizontal surfaces.
Action: A deep detailing wash to strip old winter grime, followed by the application of fresh sealants to make summer maintenance easier.

Summer Maintenance

While generally drier, summer presents its own specific challenges that require careful management.

UV Exposure: Direct sunlight can fade unpainted plastics and degrade interior trim if unprotected.
Bug Splatter: Acidic bug remains bake onto the front bumper and bonnet rapidly in the heat, which can etch the clear coat if ignored.
Action: Frequent, safe maintenance washing. Special attention to safe bug removal using dedicated citrus cleaners rather than heavy scrubbing.

Autumn Preparation

Autumn is characterized by increased rainfall, falling temperatures, and organic matter on the roads.

Leaves & Debris: Wet leaves can block drainage channels under the bonnet or boot lid, leading to water ingress or localized moss growth.
Moisture Retention: Vehicles stay wet longer, highlighting the need for good hydrophobic protection to encourage water shedding.
Action: Clearing drainage areas, thoroughly cleaning glass for changing light conditions, and ensuring the paint has a solid protection layer ready for winter.
